Since it's inception in 2003, Essex River Ventures has closed eighteen separate transactions worth approximately $250 million. These deals consisted of thirteen acquisitions and five sales. The sales, which occurred over eighteen months commencing in September 2005, harvested a weighted average equity IRR of approximately 32% on over $25 million of invested equity.

Essex River often forms joint ventures with the same equity investors and lenders. With the exception of its first acquisition, every transaction represented repeat business with either one of the investors or one of the lenders.
